Pokémon Black and White follow the trends set by previous games in the series. These games are enhanced on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS families.
The games were released in Japan on September 18, 2010, in Europe on March 4, 2011, in North America on March 6, 2011, and in Australia on March 10, 2011. Pokémon Black Version (Japanese: ポケットモンスター ブラック Pocket Monsters Black) and Pokémon White Version (Japanese: ポケットモンスター ホワイト Pocket Monsters White) are Nintendo DS games that are the first core series Pokémon games of Generation V.

Outside of the city and Isshu remains to be predominantly industrialised with various factories and train tracks existing in the various areas. It has a large city called Hiun City, with loads of buildings and sky scrapes for you to explore.
Isshu is a region far away from the previous regions, requiring you to get there by Boat or Plane. Pokémon Black & White are set in the region known as Isshu. In addition to that, Pokémon Black and Pokémon White take the 3D attributes previously included in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver and take them to new levels by including things like fully 3D bridges and a completely 3D city. These games will be set to feature the previously established assortment of Pokémon, but will also contain a massive amount of brand New Pokémon. These games will be due for release in Japan in the Autumn of 2010 and are said to bring about a revolution of Pokémon. Pokémon Black & Pokémon White are the first games of the long anticipated fifth generation of Pokémon.
